Come along and learn aerosol methods and techniques from artist Jackson Harvey. Then use those techniques to create a unique abstract-inspired artwork on sheets of MDF.
This full day workshop will work in three stages:
Stage 1: Introduction to Aerosol Methods and Basic Techniques
The first stage of the workshop would involve an introduction to basic techniques using a spray can, such as stencilling, masking and layering.
Stage 2: Group Practice
After receiving a demonstration on spray can techniques, you will be given a canvases and encouraged to practice the techniques, with the Jackson offering guidance and answering questions.
Stage 3: Creation of Final Canvases
Finally, you will be given pen and paper to plan out your design, and encouraged to spend some time planning the final canvas. Once you have gained some confident with handling a spray can, you will begin your final paintings and have three hours to complete them. During this time the Jackson will be available to help out and answer any questions.
Please wear old and comfortable clothing and a hat. Lunch and refreshments provided.
This is a FREE workshop that is suitable for young people aged 13 to 17 years old.
