Tronox Spring Out Word Up Project
Past Event
October School Holidays sorted!
The Shire of Dardanup recently opened up a chance for you, your family and friends to enter in "good words" from this and previous generations. Now that we have collected lots of cool, groovy and awesome words from the community, it's time to get decorating!
The Shire of Dardanup has brought local talented artist Nathan Gardiner on board to facilitate and help us prepare the Word Up Project's words, ready in time for the Tronox Spring Out Festival on Sunday 30 October at the Eaton Foreshore.
Each letter from these words will be stencilled onto corflute and then will be ready to decorate during the workshops. At the end of these workshops the words will be collected and then installed as an entrance into the Eaton Foreshore just prior to the big event starting.
Two half day workshops are taking place on Friday 7 October a the Eaton Sports Pavilion from 12pm to 4pm. If you would like to enter in some "good words" check out the link here, entries close Monday 26 September.
Although this is taking part in the school holidays we encourage anyone over the age of 12 to register for the workshops and join in, make it a family painting day if you wish!
Paints and supplies will be provided, please bring along your own water bottle and you are welcome to bring your own snacks to keep the creative juices flowing. Register below and please ensure to indicate if you are able to come to one or both workshops. This is a free workshop provided by the Shire of Dardanup.
If you have registered and are then no longer able to attend please contact the Place and Community Team.
