Bring your friends along to this beginners and intermediate acrobatic plate spinning workshop to test your coordination and balance with flips, throws and simple acrobatics, all while keeping that plate spinning on a stick.
Originating in China, acrobatic performances date back 2000 years to the Han Dynasty when the “Show Of One Hundred Skills” came into being. One of these skills was plate spinning introduced in the 3rd century AD as the “dance of the seven plates.”
We supply all equipment so leave your grandmother’s china at home! Previous experience is welcomed but not required.
This is a FREE workshop, suitable for children aged 6 years and older.
Facilitator: Michele Jenkins from Viva Aerial Dance
