Come along and show your friends whose boss on Mario Kart! Prizes to be won.

General Information:

  • Wii remotes and nunchuks are provided.
  • When you arrive at the tournament, you must check in and register with the tournament organisers.
  • Tournament sign-in will open approximately 15 minutes before the tournament starts. During this time, open play will be available.
  • Drop-in registrations will be taken if the registration limit hasn’t been reached. Drop-ins should call the library at 9724 0470 to determine if drop-in status is available and they should arrive 15 minutes before the tournament starts.
  • No new registrations will be taken after 5 minutes before tournament start. We will begin the tournament once all players are registered.
  • Trash talking is allowed, but no swearing or bad behavior.
  • All players may remain for the entire 3 hours. Cheer your friends to victo

Rules:

  • Players may pick any character. Players also may switch characters between matches.
  • You have 2 minutes to select your character and vehicle.
  • You will be put into random heats for round one once you arrive and check in.
  • Races will all be run as VS.
  • There are four available cups with 4 courses for each heat. The cups and courses will be randomly selected for each match out of a hat. Available cups: Flower, Star, Special and Mushroom.
  • All races will be plays in 100cc.
  • First and second place of each match will proceed to the quarterfinals.
  • First and second place of each match in the quarterfinals will proceed to the semifinals.
  • First place in each of the semifinals will proceed to the grand final.
  • When a match is ended, players must leave the score screen up for the scorekeeper to record the results. Passing this screen will invalidate the match and all players forfeit.
  • All normal Mario Kart play is allowed, including using short cuts.
  • Tournament organisers have the final say in all decisions.
  • $30 Eaton Fair gift card will be awarded to the winner of the grand final. $20 Eaton Fair gift card will be awarded to the person the tournament organiser feels is the best sportsperson.
