Shire residents have been given 7 days by the Environmental Protection Authority to provide input on whether an environmental impact assessment of Cleanaway’s proposal to construct a New Tailings Storage Cell at the Banksia Road Waste Facility should be carried out.
Public response to the comment period will guide an EPA decision on whether an Environmental assessment is required and at what level.
The comment period closes on Tuesday, 21 May and the EPA then has 28 days to make a decision on its potential assessment.
