Owners of the Dardanup Landfill on Banksia Road are inviting community members to undertake a site tour of their operations and also apply for appointment to a new Community Reference Group.

Cleanaway is holding its open day and site tour on Saturday, August 11 with company personnel attending who will be available to answer questions.
In addition, Cleanaway is forming a community group called the Dardanup Landfill Community Reference Group (DLCRG) it says will enable the open sharing of information about its operations with community members who wish to represent the interests of the wider community.
The DLCRG is an important part of the communication and consultation process with the community and will guide the flow of information and ideas between Cleanaway, Environment Protection Authority (EPAWA), Shire of Dardanup and the community.

The open day will run from 11.30am to 1.30pm and includes a sausage sizzle provided by The Lions.
