Two sites in the Shire of Dardanup have been identified by Main Roads crash statistics as eligible to apply for 2015-2016 National Building and State Black Spot Program funding.
The Black Spot programs directly target improvements to the safety of roads with proven crash history or high-risk locations.
Submissions for State Black Spot funding have been prepared for:
|Road Project||Section||Description of Works||Program|
|Shenton Road||0 – 2.75 SLK||Construct and seal shoulders, remove identified dangerous tree, and erect additional reflective guide posts||State|
|Waterloo Road||Bridge 0193 and its approaches||Widening of bridge deck and improve curve||Nation Building and State|
Projects are eligible for nomination if they exceed the minimum crash rate criteria or have had recommendations made to improve road safety identified through a Road Safety Audit.
Eligibility for nomination however, does not guarantee funding. Projects are assessed and ranked by the Regional Road Group.
