CITY OF WANJU & WATERLOO INDUSTRIAL PARK
The Shire of Dardanup in partnership with the WA Department of Planning have prepared a District Level Structure Plan for:
- City-sized urban development opposite Millbridge between the Australind Bypass and South Western Highway, covering 1,245 hectares
- Industrial Estate east of Picton covering 1600 hectares

GLEN HUON RESERVE REDEVELOPMENT
Council adopted a Master Plan for redevelopment of Glen Huon Reserve at its meeting on November 17, 2015.
Construction company Pindan Pty Ltd was awarded a $6.6 million contract in July, 2016 to build two sports pavilions as part of the Glen Huon Redevelopment.
Site works are expected to begin around August, 2016.
Also included in the Plan is replacement of the existing playground with upgraded equipment in a new location slightly north of the current position.

NEW EATON PUBLIC LIBRARY & EXPANDED ADMINISTRATION CENTRE
Draft designs for the Shire of Dardanup’s new and upgraded Eaton Public Library and co-located Administration Centre have been approved by Council.
Bollig Design Group is now working on more detailed designs. The Shire of Dardanup is expected to release a Tender for construction by August, 2016.

The Council approved a plan to relocate the library from its current Eaton Community College site in November, 2015.
EATON FORESHORE REDEVELOPMENT
Council adopted the Eaton Foreshore & Boat Ramp Facility Master Plan at its meeting on September 24, 2015.
Stage 1 addressed the area east of the boat ramp car park and included:
- Installation of new toilet facilities and demolition of old toilet facilities – complete
- Hydro-zoning of irrigation and pathways in immediate vicinity – complete
- Installation of nature play playground – complete

The $710,000 Stage 2 of the Plan is underway with design work of a new carpark opposite the boat ramp almost complete. Construction is expected to start by the end of 2016.
Future stages of the Plan will be rolled out over several years with timing dependent on funding availability.
The Master Plan is a guide for the future development of boating facilities and the foreshore reserve.
It was developed through the Eaton Townscape Committee by landscape architect Workroom in consultation with the Department of Transport (boating facilities) and after two public meetings and submission periods.
The Council has allocated just over $250,000 in its current Budget for construction of some components of the Master Plan.
