Parkridge park works

Residents of Parkridge Estate will notice works being undertaken around the parkland lake in coming days.

The Shire of Dardanup Parks & Environment Team will be removing a variety of sedge called Typha oreintalis, renowned for taking over water bodies and displacing native sedges.

Shire Environment Officer James Kain visited the area prior to works starting to conduct an assessment of aquatic fauna.

Removed sedges will be stock-piled on the lake’s edge prior to removal.
